Set a timer. Stay focused.
Pulse Timer is a free online countdown timer that works directly in your browser — no downloads, no signups. Pick a duration with the presets or type your own, press start, and stay focused. Use it for cooking, workouts, meditation, study breaks, or anywhere a quiet timer helps. Set any duration up to 10 hours; your recent custom durations are remembered locally on your device.
Choose a preset or type a custom duration, then press start — or just hit the spacebar. The controls fade away while the timer runs so the countdown stays front and center; move the mouse or tap the screen to bring them back. Press R to reset, T to switch between light and dark, and ? to see every keyboard shortcut. When time is up, an alarm sounds and the screen flashes so you notice even from across the room.
A visible countdown changes how a block of time feels: a task with an endpoint is easier to start and harder to abandon. People use Pulse Timer to portion cooking and baking steps, cap meetings and standups, run workout and rest intervals, timebox emails, and wind down with short breathing exercises. If your work has a rhythm of focus and rest, the Pomodoro mode automates the cycle for you.
